Christabel Act 1

Christabel Act 1

And that's a wrap for Act One! I had an amazing time working as the costume designer for this theatrical film, Christabel, based on a poem originally written by Samuel Coleridge. This abstract interpretation of Christabel was beautifully directed by local legend, Gary Chason. I am truly thankful to be part of this production, and I can't wait for Act Two!

As the lead costume designer, I curated and created costumes for principal characters, Christabel and Geraldine, along with 6 chorus members. Creating these costumes was a highly collaborative process. Carolyn Jurick-Taylor made a unique wig for each character based on our agreed-upon color palette and theme, and our makeup artists , Cyndi Williams and Heidi Bailleaux, brought the characters to life. This was the first film I had the chance to work on in Houston, and I am looking forward to many more!
